Yesterday, I got a total of 7 electric shocks just by switching on the toilet lights. I'm pretty sure there are some fried neurons (it's not a food, you hungry, fasting people!) up in my brain. In fact, this morning, I think I can feel some of my brain cells being regenerated! That's why I can blog now! Yesterday, I couldn't string a a sentence properly. After the 5th shock, it got so bad, I started to wonder that maybe I wasn't meant to go to the toilet. That God had other plans for me. But I cannot allow this! I have the right to use the toilet without getting electric shocked. It is time for me to fight my no-toilet destiny! So I just went in without switching on the lights lor. Pretty smart for someone who's working on half the amount of brain cells, huh? That was until I tripped over the slippers and nearly fell.

Page Not Found

LiveJournal Admin: Sir! We have reports that someone is trying to access a page that doesn't exist!
LiveJournal Captain: Impossible! How can that be?
LiveJournal Admin: Sir, I don't know. Maybe they typed in the URL wrong or maybe we're suffering from a critical system failure.
LiveJournal Captain: Unacceptable! Redirect them to a 404 page and make it snappy!

Ok, I understand that I might have typed the wrong URL but the big 'PAGE NOT FOUND' was sufficient. The mini skit was totally uncalled for! As though asking me to constantly 'CONFIRM THAT (YOU) ARE A HUMAN' isn't enough, LiveJournal just had to resort to cheesy skit lines.

I decided to blog about this because it seems that so many people are making their blog private or deleting them completely and I'm so angry that I have to come across the cheesy skit so many times! But don't worry I won't privatise anytime soon because how else can I share my jokes, pictures, stupid moments and stupid antics by stupid friends with the rest of the world?

And to LiveJournal, please stop all this nonsense! Or I'll kill your Captain!

Nad and Azy are so irritating! Everything I stand up for was proven worthless. They are as shallow as boys. I'm so disappointed in you guys.

RANDOMOUSITY

1. I'm sorry, my fasting friends but I'm so excited about making my own doughnuts for the very first time! Well, my first and last time. Nothing like preparing your own food to know what's really in it and I'm starting to see why people say it's one of the most unhealthiest food. I'll just leave it at that.
2. When my newspaper decided to get wet, it got wet in style! Can you see the silhouette of Singapore? Well, I can!

3. One of the tiny, almost non-existent perks of being a teacher.

4. Their lives revolve around games, ostrich farms and their all-time favourite, air shows. I'm serious...OSTRICH FARMS. I guess the world's divided into girls, boys and weird boys.
5. When you do something a thousand times, you'll get bored too you know!

6. "Kak Ela, Icat nak tengok wayang tapi tak cukup duit ah...Boleh kasi sikit?"
"Ok, cerita aper Icat nak tengok?"
"Money No Enough 2"

Oh, the irony.

7. "Hello, thank you for calling ______ Home Tuition Centre. May I help you?"
"Yes please. I would like to enrol as a tutor."
"Ok, may I know how you get to know about us?"
"Oh, through a friend ah."
"A friend ah? May I know her last name?"
"Errr... Mohd. Noor"
"Ok, so her name's A-friend-ah Mohd. Noor?"

How do you respond to that?! Is 'Afrenda' even a name?

8. So I was just minding my own business at the COMEX show and staring at a printer when this salesguy came up to me...

"Hi M'am. This is Epson. (Points to the printer)"
"This is absent?"
"Yes, it's Epson"
"It's not absent, it's here!"
"What?"
"I dunno."

(and quickly walks away...)

9. Kak Ela: Icat, don't be such a boiled sprat!
Me: A sprat?! How do you boil it?
Kak Ela: Eh, sorry! Spoilt brat!!!
Me: HAHAH!
Kak Ela: Oh no, I'm turning into you!
Me: I am not like that! At all!

(5 mins later....)

Me: Icat, shut up! You sound like a whestle kittling!
Icat: What?! You mean kettle whistling eh?
Me: Errr...No.

(and quickly walks away...)

So to sum up this entry, I'm random, my brother is irritating (and a boiled sprat too) and it seems that all I've been doing is to walk away quickly.

"Oh my god, the Esplanade looks so ugly from this angle!"
"It's ugly from ALL angles."
"Ok, point taken..but seriously, it looks like a crouching thorny-backed monster!"
"HAHAH! Forget the Durian! From now on, it's thorny-backed monster!"

Home Club
We set up a stall for the flea market but the 1.5m by 1.5m space given to us wasn't even nearly enough for the 6 of us! It wasn't really a good experience. But it wasn't exactly bad. It was just...an experience. Carthasis (in a strange way).

Thanks Nadh Hamzah for dropping by and supporting us! And sorry Siti you couldn't make it...but you ALMOST made it and at least, you get to see the fireworks! :)
And special thanks to Azy and her parents for picking me up and sending me home. I'm eternally grateful cos there was no way in hell (or anywhere else, for that matter) I could have managed to lug all those things by myself...

Beijing Olympics Closing CeremonyOnly the Chinese can do that!

One of the more memorable moments in the ceremony.

David Beckham came, stand on a bus, smiled, waved and kicked a ball. Big Deal.

Using both sides of the paper helps to save the Earth but drums, I'm not so sure.

Once again, the Chinese left me speechless and awestruck with their closing ceremony last night! They certainly said goodbye with the loudest bang! I can’t remember the last time I held my breath for so long until my heart aches and I totally forgot how it feels like to have my eyes glued for so long on the tv till my eyes water. And don’t even get me started on the fireworks! Not only did those fire work, it worked it’s ass off!

I feel so sorry for those who missed it...which brings me to say this: How can anyone NOT watch the Olympics?! It’s like bringing thousands of bionic man and women with superhuman skills and strength together and watching them try to outdo each other! The least us, mere mortals, can do is to witness them do that. This year, in particular, was full of awe-inspiring moments.

1) Michael Phelps winning 8 gold medals and breaking 7 world records while at it will certainly be remembered for a long time.

2) Usain Bolt insanely bolting through all his races and creating such a huge gap between him and the other runners that you would think the rest were walking or something.

3) More than 40 world records and more than 100 Olympic records were set!!!

4) Singaporean swimmer Tao Li breaking the Asian record twice and went on to the finals to be the 5th fastest swimmer in the world.

5) The opening and closing ceremonies where every moment was awe-inspiring.

6) And of course, SINGAPORE WINNING OUR 1st MEDAL SINCE WE ARE AN INDEPENDENT STATE!

“For China, the investment of more than 40 billion dollars on the Games reaped handsome rewards.
They not only topped the gold medal count, but a near flawless organisation meant the controversies that marred the build-up largely slipped into the background. “

I couldn’t have said it better myself. Thank you China for bringing paper and fireworks into our lives but most of all, thank you for creating the greatest spectacle on tv since F.R.I.E.N.D.S. In a world where guys impersonate Britney Spears and girls impersonate Michael Jackson for a living, and where sports and wellness are taken over by the likes of iGallop and uPapa, it’s nice to know that some things never change. The Olympics never fail to showcase the human spirit and the human strength in great splendour.

I JUST ORDERED MY NEW PHONE AND I CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY HANDS ON IT!!! the LG VIEWTY
At first I was having doubts because I don't usually use LG but I read 43 reviews from different websites and only 4 are bad! It's a new and improved LG Prada. It has a 3" full touchscreen and a 5 MEGAPIXEL camera with image stabilizer and high-speed video recording which enables you to take 120 frames per second! So you can view your videos at slower speed. AND, you can upload it directly to youtube! :)
From the back, it really looks like an ordinary digicam..

My Phone Sweet Phone. :)
